Kia E-Niro Charging Information
The Kia E-Niro is only capable of single phase charging as of 2019, but can be charged at 3 phase public charging stations as well as at home using a 3.6kW or 7.2kW home charging station. Fast charge cables allow for charging at up to 7.2kW when plugged into a single phase charging station which is the maximum for home charging points.
The Kia E-Niro uses a Type 2 to Type 2 EV cable for fast charging. Type 2 cables are the European standard and will plug into most domestic and work charging stations. All mode 3 cables have Type 2 (Mennekes) plugs at the charging station end.
The 2019 Kia E-Niro features a 64 kWh battery, giving it a driving range of 280 miles. The battery can be fully charged in around 9 hours using this 7.2kW cable charging on single phase power. The same cable can be used to charge at public charging stations. We also offer this cable as a 10 meter cable.
