The Nissan Leaf 2018 (second generation) and later models uses Type 2 single phase and Type 2, 3 phase charging cables. Please check your manual to ensure you buy the correct cable.
Our Type 2 EV charging cables can be used with public charger stations and home charging points. All our cables are orange for high visibility and feature ergonomic grips and flexible cable for ease of handling and storage. These cables are approved and safety tested by TUV to ensure they are the highest quality and safe for use.
Type 2 charging cables can be used with all cars with Type 2 (Mennekes) power inlets. The Type 2 female end plugs into your vehicle and the Type 2 male end plugs into the power supply. Type 2 cables can be either single phase or 3 phase.
Our Type 2 cables for the Nissan Leaf charge at a rate of either 3.7kW (16A), 7.2kW (32A), 11kW (3 Phase 16A), or 22kW (3 Phase 32A). Various options are available including power rating, cable length and single or 3 phase.
Cablacar recommends using at least 3.7kW charging cables. A Nissan Leaf with 30kWh battery and 3.3kw onboard charger will fully charge in 9 hours using a 3.7kW charging cable and a Nissan Leaf with 40kWh battery and 6.6kw onboard charger will fully charge in 6 hours using a 7.2kW charging cable. Recommended cables have Nissan Leaf 2018 in the product title, however all the cables show are compatible with the Nissan Leaf 2018.
